Set against the breathtaking backdrop of The Resort at Pelican Hill, the Champions for Girls Luncheon brought together community leaders, philanthropists, corporate partners, and advocates for an afternoon dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary impact of Girls Inc. Design Inspiration and Palette
Inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of Southern California, the event design embraced an inviting palette of rich corals, golden yellows, vibrant pinks, and fresh greenery. Rather than relying on elaborate décor, the design celebrated the natural beauty of the venue, allowing colorful floral arrangements and thoughtfully curated details to complement Pelican Hill’s elegant Mediterranean architecture and sweeping coastal views. The result was an atmosphere that felt bright, sophisticated, and effortlessly welcoming.
Outdoor Reception
Guests began the afternoon with a lively outdoor reception on the resort’s terrace, where white market umbrellas, linen-draped cocktail tables, and towering palms framed conversations against views of the Pacific and the surrounding golf course. Welcome signage and a styled beverage station greeted arriving guests, establishing a relaxed yet polished tone before the group transitioned into the ballroom for the luncheon program.
Ballroom and Tablescapes
Inside, crisp white linens and dark wood chiavari chairs provided the perfect canvas for colorful botanical centerpieces inspired by the season’s natural beauty. The ballroom’s warm gold draping and cascading crystal chandeliers added an established elegance that required little embellishment, letting the florals carry the color story across the room.
Layers of yellow mokara orchids, coral and crimson roses, pink calla lilies, sunflowers, and fresh seasonal blooms introduced texture, movement, and vibrant color to each table. Compact arrangements in clear glass vessels sat alongside gold place settings and printed program cards, creating a cohesive design that reflected both the energy of the organization and the optimism of its mission.
Seasonal Accents
Every floral arrangement was thoughtfully composed to feel organic and approachable while maintaining an elevated aesthetic. Playful touches, including heirloom pumpkins used as natural vessels and rustic wood risers, added warmth and seasonal character without distracting from the event’s purpose.
